What is CVE-2023-45880?

GibbonEdu, up to version 25.0.0, is impacted by a directory traversal vulnerability that permits an attacker to manipulate the report template builder. By exploiting this flaw, attackers can set the templateFileDestination parameter to point to arbitrary file paths. This capability allows them to create PHP files in the webroot outside of designated directories, leading to potential unauthorized access and execution of malicious scripts.
