What is CVE-2023-46724?
An improper validation issue found in Squid Proxy allows for a Denial of Service scenario during SSL Certificate validation. Attackers can exploit this by performing a TLS Handshake using a specially crafted SSL Certificate in the server certificate chain, specifically affecting HTTPS connections and SSL-Bump functionality. This vulnerability is addressed in Squid version 6.4, and users of prior versions are encouraged to apply patches available in the Squid patch archives or consult with their package vendor for updates.
