What is CVE-2023-48031?

OpenSupports version 4.11.0 contains a vulnerability that permits attackers to upload files of dangerous types, specifically by exploiting the comment functionality. By altering the file's magic bytes, an attacker can bypass existing security measures and successfully upload a .bat file disguised as an acceptable file. This exploit may result in the execution of arbitrary code or the establishment of a reverse shell, enabling unauthorized access and control over the victim's system through carefully crafted file upload actions.
