What is CVE-2023-4883?

An invalid pointer release vulnerability exists in Open5GS that could allow an attacker to disrupt service functionality. By sending a specially crafted JSON string to the Virtual Network Function (VNF), an attacker may trigger the ogs_sbi_message_free function, leading to potential service interruptions and outages.
