Umbraco CMS possible path traversal when creating packages from backoffice

What is CVE-2023-49089?
Umbraco CMS, a widely used ASP.NET content management system, contains a path traversal vulnerability that affects versions from 8.0.0 up to 8.18.9, 10.0.0 up to 10.8.0, and 12.0.0 up to 12.2.9. Backoffice users with package creation permissions can exploit this flaw to write files outside of the designated directory, potentially compromising the integrity of the application. Users of these affected versions are urged to upgrade to versions 8.18.10, 10.8.1, or 12.3.0, which include a security patch to resolve this issue.
