What is CVE-2023-50207?

The D-Link G416 Router is vulnerable to a command injection vulnerability that enables remote code execution. Attackers located on the same network can exploit this flaw by sending specially crafted HTTP requests to the device's HTTP service on TCP port 80. The vulnerability arises from inadequate validation of user input, allowing the execution of arbitrary commands in the system's root context without requiring authentication. This poses a significant risk as it may lead to complete system compromise.
