Stack-based Buffer Overflow in D-Link G416 Router HTTP Service
CVE-2023-50210
8.8HIGH
What is CVE-2023-50210?
The D-Link G416 router contains a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in its HTTP service, which listens on TCP port 80. This flaw arises from inadequate validation of the length of user-supplied data being copied into a fixed-length stack buffer. This oversight enables network-adjacent attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations without requiring authentication, potentially compromising the entire system with root-level privileges.
