Command Injection Vulnerability in D-Link G416 Router
CVE-2023-50215
8.8HIGH
What is CVE-2023-50215?
The vulnerability in D-Link G416 routers allows network-adjacent attackers to execute arbitrary code remotely. This issue is caused by insufficient validation of user-supplied input within the HTTP service operating on TCP port 80. As a result, the lack of proper sanitization enables attackers to exploit the system through crafted requests, executing code with root privileges. This poses a significant risk, as authentication is not required for exploitation, allowing unauthorized access to sensitive system functions.
