What is CVE-2023-53268?

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ASoC fsl_mqs module could lead to a reference leak due to improper handling of the of_node_put() function. The misplacement of this function call risked retaining references unnecessarily, which could affect memory management. The issue has been addressed by correctly positioning the of_node_put() call immediately after the syscon_node_to_regmap function, eliminating the reference leak. Additionally, all goto statements have been revised to use direct returns for better code reliability.
