What is CVE-2023-53771?

MiniDVBLinux 5.4 is vulnerable to an authentication bypass flaw that enables attackers to change the root password without prior authentication. By sending specially crafted POST requests to the system setup endpoint with altered SYSTEM_PASSWORD parameters, an unauthorized user can reset root credentials and potentially gain full control over the system.
