What is CVE-2023-53880?
Lucee 5.4.2.17 is susceptible to a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers to embed malicious scripts via the administrative interface. By manipulating specific parameters in admin-focused pages like server.cfm and web.cfm, attackers can execute arbitrary JavaScript in the browsers of users with access to the admin interface, potentially compromising sensitive data and user sessions.
