What is CVE-2023-53944?
The EasyPHP Webserver 14.1 is susceptible to a path traversal vulnerability that enables remote users with minimal privileges to circumvent SecurityManager safeguards. By crafting GET requests containing encoded directory traversal sequences, such as /..%5c..%5c, attackers can access sensitive files outside the intended document root. This exploitation could lead to unauthorized reading of system files, posing significant security risks.
