What is CVE-2023-53967?
The Screen SFT DAB 600/C firmware version 1.9.3 contains a critical vulnerability that allows attackers to bypass authentication measures. By exploiting the userManager.cgx API endpoint, an attacker can send a specially crafted POST request that includes a new MD5-hashed password, effectively altering the admin password without needing the existing credentials. This vulnerability poses significant risks to the integrity and security of the admin account.
