myBB Forums version 1.8.26 is susceptible to a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability within its forum announcement system. Authenticated administrators can exploit this flaw by embedding malicious scripts in the announcement title field while creating new announcements. As a result, when the announcement is viewed on the forum, these scripts will execute, potentially leading to unauthorized actions and compromising the security of users visiting the site.
