What is CVE-2023-7318?

Nagios XI versions prior to 2024R1.0.2 are susceptible to a cross-site scripting vulnerability through the Nagios Core Command Expansion page. The issue arises due to inadequate validation or escaping of user-supplied input. This flaw allows attackers to inject malicious scripts that can execute in the context of an unsuspecting user's browser, posing serious security risks to users and potentially enabling unauthorized access to sensitive information.
