A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in phpipam version 1.5.2 allows attackers to inject harmful scripts into the 'Description' field of custom fields within the 'IP RELATED MANAGEMENT' section. This exploitation can lead to severe consequences such as data theft, account compromise, the spread of malware, website defacement, manipulation of content, and phishing attacks targeting users. The vulnerability has been remediated in version 1.7.0.
