What is CVE-2024-10821?

A Denial of Service vulnerability exists in the multipart request boundary processing of the Invoke-AI server. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to append excessive characters to the end of multipart boundaries, causing the server to enter an infinite loop. Consequently, this results in excessive resource consumption, leading to a complete denial of service for all users accessing the affected API endpoint: /api/v1/images/upload. Properly securing this endpoint is crucial to prevent exploitation.
