What is CVE-2024-13980?

The H3C Intelligent Management Center (IMC) is susceptible to a vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary commands through the /byod/index.xhtml endpoint. This is due to improper handling of JSF ViewState, which enables attackers to send crafted POST requests with manipulated javax.faces.ViewState parameters. Exploitation of this vulnerability does not require user authentication or session cookies, putting systems at significant risk. Organizations using affected versions must assess and mitigate these risks promptly.
