What is CVE-2024-13981?

The LiveBOS middleware suite by Apex Software contains a vulnerability in the UploadFile.do;.js.jsp endpoint that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to exploit path traversal weaknesses. This flaw can enable attackers to upload maliciously crafted files outside the intended directory structure, potentially leading to remote code execution. Users of LiveBOS should upgrade to versions released after August 2024 to mitigate this risk.
