What is CVE-2024-23838?

A vulnerability identified in TrueLayer.NET, the .Net client for TrueLayer, may allow a malicious actor to manipulate the destination URL utilized by the HttpClient in the API classes. This flaw could enable requests to be sent to unintended resources, whether on local networks or external internet destinations, creating a risk of information disclosure. Applications employing the SDK should implement strict egress rules to restrict the destinations for outbound requests and ensure rigid validation of any user input directed to the 'truelayer-dotnet' library to mitigate this vulnerability. Users of TrueLayer.Client version 1.6.0 and above are not affected by this issue.
