What is CVE-2024-23875?

A vulnerability has been identified in Cups Easy (Purchase & Inventory) version 1.0, which stemmed from inadequate encoding of user-controlled inputs. This weakness allows for a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attack via the issuanceno parameter in the /cupseasylive/stockissuancedisplay.php endpoint. An attacker could exploit this flaw by crafting a malicious URL and sending it to an authenticated user, enabling them to potentially steal session cookie credentials, thereby compromising user accounts.
