What is CVE-2024-23883?

A vulnerability in Cups Easy (Purchase & Inventory) version 1.0 allows for improper handling of user inputs, specifically in the description parameter of the /cupseasylive/taxstructuremodify.php endpoint. This results in a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability, enabling attackers to exploit the flaw by crafting malicious URLs. When sent to an authenticated user, these URLs could facilitate the unauthorized retrieval of session cookie credentials, posing significant security risks.
