What is CVE-2024-23896?

A vulnerability exists in Cups Easy (Purchase & Inventory), version 1.0, where insufficient input encoding renders the application susceptible to Cross-Site Scripting (XSS). This weakness is specifically located in the /cupseasylive/stock.php endpoint, affecting the batchno parameter. Attackers can exploit this flaw by crafting a malicious URL that, when accessed by an authenticated user, can lead to session cookie theft, granting unauthorized access to sensitive user information.
