CVE-2024-23979
What is CVE-2024-23979?
The vulnerability arises when an SSL Client Certificate LDAP or Certificate Revocation List Distribution Point (CRLDP) authentication profile is improperly configured on an F5 virtual server. This misconfiguration can lead to an increase in CPU resource consumption when certain undisclosed requests are processed. Such increased resource utilization could potentially degrade the performance of the virtual server, affecting availability and response times. It is crucial for administrators to review and adjust configuration settings, as software versions that have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated for this issue.
