What is CVE-2024-24760?
A vulnerability in the Mailcow email package allows for potential access to Docker container ports on the same subnet. This issue impacts versions prior to 2024-01c, where ports bound to 127.0.0.1 may remain exposed. Attackers within the same local network can exploit this weakness, making sensitive services reachable. The Mailcow team has implemented enhanced security measures through added iptables/nftables rules, which are intended to mitigate this risk. These rules effectively block packets directed towards specific Docker container ports (3306, 6379, 8983, and 12345) when the incoming interface does not match 'br-mailcow' and the outgoing interface is 'br-mailcow'.
