Femap Vulnerability: Out-of-Bounds Write in Catia MODEL File Parsing

What is CVE-2024-24922?

An out of bounds write vulnerability has been found in Simcenter Femap affecting all versions prior to V2401.0000. During the process of parsing a specifically crafted Catia MODEL file, the application may write past the end of an allocated buffer. This flaw has the potential to enable an attacker to execute arbitrary code within the context of the current process.
