What is CVE-2024-25152?

A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the Message Board widget of Liferay Portal versions 7.2.0 through 7.4.2 and in Liferay DXP 7.3 prior to service pack 3, as well as version 7.2 before fix pack 17. This vulnerability allows remote authenticated users to inject malicious web scripts or HTML through the filename of an uploaded attachment. Successful exploitation could lead to unauthorized actions and compromise data integrity, significantly impacting user experience and security within the affected applications.
