What is CVE-2024-27081?

A security misconfiguration was identified in the edit configuration file API of the dashboard component within ESPHome, a platform for controlling ESP8266 and ESP32 devices. This vulnerability allows authenticated remote attackers to read and write arbitrary files located in the configuration directory, potentially leading to remote code execution.
