Remote Command Execution Vulnerability in Apache Doris JDBC Driver
CVE-2024-27438
What is CVE-2024-27438?
Apache Doris contains a vulnerability that allows remote command execution due to a lack of integrity checks on the JDBC driver files used for JDBC catalogs. An authorized attacker who can create a JDBC catalog may employ an arbitrary driver JAR file featuring unchecked code snippets. These snippets can be executed during the catalog initialization phase without any validation. This vulnerability affects multiple versions of Apache Doris from 1.2.0 up to 2.0.4. Users are advised to upgrade to version 2.0.5 or newer to mitigate this issue.
