What is CVE-2024-28063?
The Kiteworks Totemomail application, specifically versions up to 7.0.0, contains a reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This issue arises from improper handling of user input in the /responsiveUI/EnvelopeOpenServlet endpoint, allowing attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the context of a user’s browser. By exploiting this vulnerability, an attacker can craft a malicious URL that, when visited, could lead to user credentials being stolen or the execution of harmful scripts, significantly compromising user security and privacy.
