What is CVE-2024-28235?

Contao, an open-source content management system, has a vulnerability where it incorrectly handles cookie headers by sending them to external URLs when checking for broken links on protected pages. This flaw can expose session cookies, potentially leading to unauthorized access. Versions prior to 4.13.40 and 5.3.4 are affected. To mitigate the risk, users are advised to disable crawling on protected pages until patches are applied. Both patched versions address this issue effectively.
