Pterodactyl Panel Token Leak Vulnerability
CVE-2024-34066
What is CVE-2024-34066?
The Pterodactyl Wings server control plane is vulnerable to arbitrary file read and write operations due to the potential leakage of the Wings token. If compromised, this token allows an attacker to gain unauthorized access to files on the node it is associated with, creating significant security risks. This vulnerability arises from accidental exposure of the token through node configuration or improper posting practices. To mitigate this issue, users are encouraged to update to version 1.11.12 or, if unable to update immediately, to enable the 'ignore_panel_config_updates' option as a temporary workaround.
