What is CVE-2024-39768?
Multiple buffer overflow vulnerabilities have been identified in the set_qos() functionality of the Wavlink AC3000 M33A8.V5030.210505 router. These vulnerabilities arise from improper handling of HTTP requests, specifically in the cli_name POST parameter. An attacker with authenticated access can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted HTTP request, leading to stack-based buffer overflows that could compromise the device’s functionality and security.
