What is CVE-2024-42468?

The CometVisu add-on for openHAB is affected by a vulnerability that allows unauthenticated users to perform a path traversal attack via the CometVisuServlet. This vulnerability permits an attacker to send HTTP GET requests to access local files on the server, leading to potential information disclosure. To mitigate this risk, users are strongly advised to upgrade to version 4.2.1 or later of the CometVisu add-on.
