What is CVE-2024-42640?

The angular-base64-upload library prior to version 0.1.21 contains a critical vulnerability that allows unauthenticated remote code execution through the demo/server.php file. An attacker can exploit this flaw to upload arbitrary files to the server, which can then be executed, leading to potential unauthorized access and control over the server. This vulnerability primarily impacts products that are no longer actively maintained.
