What is CVE-2024-42740?

The TOTOLINK X5000r Router is vulnerable to an OS command injection flaw in the 'setLedCfg' feature of the /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi file. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers to send specially crafted packets to the router, which can lead to the execution of arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system. This can compromise the integrity and confidentiality of the device and may lead to further exploits within the network.
