What is CVE-2024-4660?

An issue exists in GitLab EE where guests are able to access the source code of private projects by leveraging group templates. This vulnerability affects a range of versions: all versions starting from 11.2 before 17.1.7, starting from 17.2 before 17.2.5, and starting from 17.3 before 17.3.2. The exploit reveals critical permissions flaws that enable unauthorized users to infiltrate project confidentiality, raising serious concerns regarding access control within collaborative development environments.
