CVE-2024-47522
7.5HIGH
What is CVE-2024-47522?
The vulnerability in Suricata arises from an invalid Application-Layer Protocol Negotiation (ALPN) in TLS/QUIC traffic handling when JA4 matching and logging are enabled. This can result in the Suricata engine entering a panic state, potentially disrupting network security operations. The issue has been addressed in version 7.0.7, and users are advised to upgrade to this version or later to mitigate the vulnerability. As a temporary workaround, disabling JA4 can be considered until an upgrade is performed.
