What is CVE-2024-50355?
LibreNMS, an open-source network monitoring system, is impacted by an improper input validation vulnerability. Admin users can modify the Display Name of devices, but the application fails to adequately sanitize user input. If malicious JavaScript code is entered into the device Display Name, it can be executed from various sources. This issue underscores the importance of stringent input validation practices, and it has been addressed in version 24.10.0.
