What is CVE-2024-51494?
A Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the Port Settings page of LibreNMS, an open-source network monitoring system. Authenticated users can inject arbitrary JavaScript via the 'descr' parameter while editing a device's port settings. If exploited, this vulnerability allows attackers to execute malicious scripts when the affected page is accessed, potentially compromising user sessions and enabling unauthorized actions. The vulnerability has been resolved in version 24.10.0.
