What is CVE-2024-51496?

LibreNMS, a popular open-source network monitoring system, is vulnerable to a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) issue in the 'metric' parameter of the '/wireless' and '/health' endpoints. This flaw allows attackers to inject arbitrary JavaScript, which executes when a user interacts with the manipulated metric parameter. If exploited, this vulnerability could enable unauthorized actions and compromise user sessions. Users are advised to update to version 24.10.0 or later to mitigate this risk.
