What is CVE-2024-52506?

Graylog, a popular open-source log management platform, exhibits a vulnerability within its reporting functionality. Specifically, the issue arises when multiple authorized users simultaneously request report renderings. In versions 6.1.0 and 6.1.1, a shared headless browser instance utilized for PDF rendering can lead to information leakage. As a result, one user's report may accidentally include log messages or metrics intended for another user, thereby compromising sensitive data access. This issue has been addressed in version 6.1.2, and the only current workaround involves disabling the reporting feature.
