HTTP Request Smuggling Vulnerability in GNOME libsoup
CVE-2024-52530
7.5HIGH
What is CVE-2024-52530?
The GNOME libsoup library, prior to version 3.6.0, is susceptible to HTTP request smuggling due to improper handling of null (\0) characters at the end of header names. This vulnerability allows attackers to exploit certain configurations where headers such as 'Transfer-Encoding\0: chunked' are interpreted in a manner indistinguishable from 'Transfer-Encoding: chunked'. This flaw could potentially lead to unintended behavior in web traffic and request processing.
