What is CVE-2024-55195?

A vulnerability in the OpenImageIO library, specifically in the /imagebuf.cpp component, allows for a Denial of Service (DoS) condition. This occurs when an overly large allocation request is made, leading the application to attempt to allocate more memory than is permissible.
