What is CVE-2024-55658?

The SiYuan Knowledge Management System, prior to version 3.1.16, contains a significant vulnerability in its /api/export/exportResources endpoint, which is susceptible to path traversal attacks. By manipulating the paths parameter, attackers can exploit this vulnerability to access and download arbitrary files from the underlying host system, compromising sensitive information. Users are advised to update to version 3.1.16 or later where this issue has been patched to secure their applications.
