What is CVE-2024-56373?

A vulnerability in Apache Airflow allows authorized DAG authors to exploit database manipulation techniques to execute arbitrary code within the web server context. This can occur when users access historical task logs, which should not normally be possible. By default, the log template history is disabled in version 2.11.1, and users are advised to upgrade to Apache Airflow 3 to maintain access to this feature securely. For those using earlier versions, it's recommended to manually adjust historical log file names to mitigate potential risks.
