What is CVE-2024-56411?
PhpSpreadsheet, a widely-used PHP library for creating and manipulating spreadsheet files, is affected by a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This issue arises from the improper sanitization of hyperlink base within the HTML page header, allowing attackers to inject malicious scripts. The vulnerability persists in versions prior to 3.7.0, 2.3.5, 2.1.6, and 1.29.7. Users of affected versions are advised to update to the latest versions, where the vulnerability has been addressed through patching.
