What is CVE-2024-58280?
CMSimple version 5.15 contains a significant vulnerability that permits authenticated attackers to perform remote command execution. By exploiting a flaw in the Extensions_userfiles configuration, attackers can modify file extensions to gain unauthorized access. Specifically, they can append ',php' to uploads, allowing for the execution of malicious PHP scripts on the server. This vulnerability could enable attackers to upload shell scripts to the media directory, effectively executing arbitrary code and compromising server security.
