What is CVE-2024-58298?

BMC Compuware iStrobe Web 20.13 is susceptible to a pre-authentication remote code execution vulnerability. This flaw enables unauthenticated attackers to exploit the system by uploading malicious JSP files through a path traversal attack in the file upload form. By manipulating the 'fileName' parameter, attackers can successfully upload web shells and execute arbitrary commands on the server via crafted POST requests to the uploaded JSP endpoint.
