What is CVE-2024-58342?

A vulnerability in XenForo versions prior to 2.2.17 and 2.3.1 permits open redirects through the getDynamicRedirect() function. This flaw arises from inadequate validation of redirect targets, enabling attackers to direct users to malicious external sites via specially crafted URLs. These URLs may exploit newlines, leverage user credentials, or cause host mismatches, posing significant security risks to users.
